LOOKING AT LIFE

5 Skills To Engage A Tyrant Effectively

Part of our Tyrants blog series where you will learn the many faces of the tyrants. You will learn about the other tyrants of life like time, situations, space and the environment. You will also learn about the people called “Two-Legged Tyrants” and what their focus is for tyranting you. You will clearly see how you opened the door and let the tyrant in. Best of all, this series teaches you how to stop any tyrant from stealing your life force energy and how to count coup and gain the true teaching for both you and the tyrant.

Let’s look at what is really going on as opposed to the myth perpetrated by the image makers and ourselves.

You realize that one of the major places where you lose energy and actually can develop poor health is in your constant confrontation with image makers and tyrants. The actual tactics of engaging and stalking the tyrant help you gain energy.

The formula works this way. If you are not aware that life is a game, that most of it is myth, daydream, fantasy and illusion, then you’ll take it too seriously. Therefore, tiny, insignificant events in the major drama upset you everyday. What you want to learn to do instead is to be able to handle those insignificant events with very little effort. Then you are ready to deal with significant events with maximum efficiency and minimum effort.

So we are really talking about the triangle of reconnaissance, strategy and tactics. Reconnaissance is simply finding out everything you can about the tyrant. What kind of tyrant are you dealing with? What are the tyrant’s strengths and weaknesses? What must you do to count coup or stop them from tyranting you? Which tyrants get you, and how do they push your buttons? Where do you have power to hold your own space, and where are you impotent? Where do you lose it? That’s all part of your reconnaissance.

Remember always that if your reconnaissance is weak, your strategy will be off and inefficient, Therefore, your tactics will not work, and the tactics are your decisive actions. You’re in the middle of the river then, so you better know how to swim.

If you’re a good stalker and are able to confront the image makers and tyrants, you can go into old age with a great deal of pleasure and ease. But you’ve got to learn to get joy, pleasure, and always gain knowledge in any confrontation with any tyrant or image maker. You cannot do that until you have done your reconnaissance and shifted your frame of reference to see tyrants and image makers as the teachers they are.

That is a big step because normally we see every day in the news and other media how we are conditioned to be a victim, to accept the status quo and not fight it, even to the point of subliminal programming being used on us. If you begin to battle the tyrant externally, you’re doomed to defeat, unless you also take into account the real enemy you’re battling which is your inner self.

The external tyrant appears in your life because you need the teaching. You are responsible for dreaming those tyrants into your environmental space and resource circle. But if you don’t see them as a resource, then they’re an external enemy whom you must battle and that takes energy. You frequently lose. That’s why we see tremendous stress-related disease in our society. In fact, stress is the number one cause of sickness, disease and illness in this country. That tells us that we’re not doing very well.

There are five warrior skills that make up a strategy necessary to count coup on a tyrant.

  1. Discipline means to know yourself and be at cause. It means to take responsibility for everything that comes into your circle, realizing that you have dreamed it there for a reason.
  1. Control of the physical space means to act as if you are buying into the tyrant actions. In reality you are buying into none of them. We call this controlled folly.
  1. Mental Forbearance means insightful foresight. Watch the tyrant, learn their weaknesses and see how they play the game. Discover what their image of self-importance is and feed it.
  1. Timing means to wait until the tyrant is most vulnerable.
  1. Will means to use your will to spin them and make them see who they really are.

In this section will be techniques and clues to enable you to engage with the external tyrant and the real tyrant, your inner self. It is important to remember that all emotions are conditioned, learned responses based on our imagination.

Join us in the next blog to continue this fascinating topic and continue learning how to count coup on the tyrants who disrupt your life and the biggest tyrant, your inner tyrant.
